Canadian-Norwegian dominance in St. Moritz

Wed. 8. February

It looked very much like a gold medal when Kjetil Jansrud did an apparently perfect race in today's Super-G in the World Championship in St. Moritz. And it looked like a Norwegian double when Aleksander Aamodt Kilde managed to do a very powerful run with a small error at the end, finishing 9/100 behind Jansrud. But, starting just after Kilde, Erik Guay from Canada gave us a show with a tremendous race. We looked at a podium with the same three guys as in the World Cup Super-G in Val Gardena just before Christmas, with the difference that Erik Guay jumped from third to first place. But the race was not over, the surprise came with start number 26 when Manuel Osborne-Paradis split Jansrud and Kilde. Then we had Canada and Norway occupying the four first positions.
