From GAP to World Championship in St. Moritz

Mon. 30. January

From challenging weekends in Santa Caterina, Wengen and Kitzbühel the speed racers faced two downhill races in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The downhill on Friday January 27 became very dramatic with severe injuries for Steven Nyman and Valentin Giraud Moine. Aleksander Aamodt Kilde also was among the eleven racers who DNF. Kjetil Jansrud managed to take a new podium with a second place after Travis Ganong from USA. On Saturday Hannes Reichelt was back on top, and last year's total winner of the downhill Peter Fill was on the podium both days. Kjetil Jansrud's fifth place and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde's tenth place on Saturday show that the Attacking Vikings will fight for top results in the World Championship in St. Moritz and in the World Cup in Kvitfjell after.
