Fantastic WC races in Kvitfjell
A busy week with Europacup, snow and preparations ended with two fantastic World Cup races in the weekend March 10th and 11th.
The Kvitfjell Organization could present a good course for the Downhill on Sunday thanks to the work done by the people on the course during the week before. The low temperature and the sun also gave a good contribution. The Downhill winners Dressen, Feuz and Svindal sharpened their struggle for the Downhill Globe of the season, with a good lead for Beat Feuz before the finals in Åre.
Also the Super-G on Sunday was completed on a good and durable course. "The King of Kvitfjell", Kjetil Jansrud, took another victory on his "home ground" and also secured the pionts to win the Super-G Globe of the season. Second on the podium was again Beat Feuz, with the great surprise man Brice Roger from France on third. With bib number 49 Roger denied the Norwegian André Smiseth Sejersted a place on the podium, beating him with 1/100 of a second.
We already look forward to new World Cup races in Kvitfjell next year.
